Safeguarding
Keeping Safe at Ludwick Nursery School
At Ludwick Nursery School, the safety, wellbeing and happiness of every child are at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to providing a safe, caring and nurturing environment where children feel secure, valued and confident to learn, play and grow.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. Our staff are trained to recognise and respond to concerns and work closely with families and other professionals to help keep children safe. We encourage parents and carers to speak to us if they have any worries or concerns about a child’s wellbeing.
Our Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs) are all trained to Level 2 and regularly update their safeguarding training throughout the year. They share key information and guidance with staff when needed, helping to ensure that children remain safe, supported and well cared for.
Children's safety and wellbeing remain our priority at all times. During school holidays and periods when the nursery is closed, our safeguarding email account continues to be monitored. If you have an urgent safeguarding concern, please contact us using the safeguarding email address and a member of the safeguarding team will be in touch as soon as possible.

Operation Encompass
As a school we are proud to be part of the nationwide Operation Encompass project. This enables real time information to be shared from the local police force, to the school, where an incident of domestic violence has been attended.
