Parent Governor Vacancy
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Governor to join our team at Ludwick Nursery School to work closely with our senior leadership team.
Becoming a school governor is a rewarding experience and will allow you to use your skills to have a positive impact on the education of our children.
Ludwick Nursery School provides many exciting opportunities for our children and families. 'Nurturing Individuals; Growing the Community' is at the heart of all we do for our community. Our values of Respect, Trust, Courage and Kindness underpin the ethos of the school.
Ludwick Nursery School also leads Acorns Early Years Training Centre and we are the Early Year's lead partner for Alban Teaching School Hub. We provide Initial Teaching Training, training for Early Career teachers, School to School support and Professional Learning and Development.
The role involves supporting and challenging the headteacher by gathering views, asking questions, and discussing what is in the best interest of all children.
Personal attributes
Enthusiastic and committed parent/carer from a variety of backgrounds.
No prior leadership or education experience is required, but a desire to give back to the school and community is essential.
Background in finance and business would be beneficial.
The ability to contribute a balanced, impartial, and proactive approach to the team.
A willingness to be loyal to the decisions of the governing body as a whole.
Eligibility:
To be eligible, you must be aged over 18, and have parental responsibility for a child who is currently attending Ludwick Nursery School.
You must not be disqualified from serving as a school governor.
Salary & Benefits
This is a voluntary, unpaid position, though occasional expenses may be reimbursed.
